About World Online Body Art Awards

Established in 2012, World Online Body Art Awards (WOBAA) offer a platform to bodypainters around the world to showcase their craft.

There are several bodypainting festivals organized around the world that give artists a chance to compete. However, there are several reasons that such festival contests are not practical for many artists. For one, most such festivals are organized in the summer, which is the peak earning season for many artists for whom body art is the primary source of income. So, they may not be able to set aside time to visit the festival and compete. Further, many fellow artists may not have the funds to travel to the festival location. Flying from a small village in Cambodia, Cameroon or Colombia to Austria for the World Bodypainting Festival may just not be feasible for you. Aside from time and money, there are other practical matters. In our divided world, countries place restrictions on the movement of people. If you are from Iran or Bangladesh, it may not be a simple matter to get a visa to the United States to participate in Living Art America.

WOBAA is different. WOBAA is unique. By putting the contest online, WOBAA has leveled the playing field for artists worldwide.

At WOBAA, it doesn't matter whether you are from America or Iran. It doesn't matter whether you live in Switzerland or Swaziland. It doesn't matter whether you are rich or poor. All that matters at WOBAA is how good you are. All that matters is your art.
